Though we believe the entire Bible is inspired by God, here are a few fundamental truths for ONE*:

The Bible

We believe the entire Bible is the inspired Word of God, and that men were moved by the Spirit to write words of Scripture. Therefore, the Bible is without error.

  • Genesis 1:1,26-27, 3:2
  • Psalm 90:2
  • Matthew 28:19

  • 1 Peter 1:2 2
  • Corinthians 13:14

God is the Creator and the Ruler of the universe. He has eternally existed as the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. The three are coequal and are one God.

  • 2 Timothy 3:16
  • 2 Peter 1:20-21
  • Psalm 119:105, 160

  • Proverbs 30:5
  • Isaiah 55:11

Jesus Christ

Jesus Christ is the Son of God. He is co-equal with the Father. Jesus lived a sinless human life and offered Himself as the perfect sacrifice for the sins of all men by dying on a cross. He arose from the dead after three days to demonstrate His power over sin and death. He ascended to Heaven’s glory and will return again to earth to reign as King of Kings and Lord of Lords.

  • Acts 1:9-11 1
  • Timothy 6:14-15
  • Titus 2:13

Holy Spirit

The Holy Spirit is equal with the Father and the Son as God. He is present in the world to make mankind aware of their need for Jesus Christ. He also lives in every Christian from the moment of salvation. He provides every Christian with power for living, understanding of spiritual truth, guidance in doing what is right, and is manifested through a variety of spiritual gifts to build and grow the church. Every Christian should seek to live under His guidance daily.

  • John 16:7-13, 14:16-17
  • Acts 1:8
  • 1 Corinthians 2:12, 3:16
  • Ephesians 1:13

  • Ephesians 5:18
  • Romans 12:4-8 1
  • Corinthians 12:1-31, 14:1-40
  • Ephesians 4:16

We believe that mankind was created in the image of God to have fellowship with Him and is the supreme object of God’s creation. However, mankind became alienated from that relationship through sinful disobedience. As a result, mankind is totally incapable of coming back into a right relationship with God by his own effort.

  • Genesis 1:27
  • Psalm 8:3-6
  • Isaiah 53:6a

  • Romans 3:23
  • Isaiah 59:1-2

We believe that the shed blood of Jesus Christ on the cross provides the sole basis for the forgiveness of sins. Mankind can never make up for his sin by self-improvement or good works. Therefore, salvation only occurs when a person places his faith in the death and resurrection of Christ as the sufficient payment for his sin, and he will spend eternity with God.

  • Ephesians 2:8-9
  • John 14:6, 1:12

  • Titus 3:5
  • Galatians 3:26

The Christian Life

We believe that every Christian or Christ-follower should live for Christ and not for himself. By obedience to the Word and daily yielding to the Spirit, every Christ-follower will mature and become conformed to the image of Christ.

  • Matthew 16:24-25
  • Romans 8:29

  • Galatians 2:20
  • Galatians 5:24-25

The Church

We believe that the church is the body of Christ of which Jesus Christ is the Head. The members are those who have trusted by faith the finished work of Christ. The purpose of the church is to glorify God by loving Him and by making Him known to a lost world.
