ONE* Ministries COVID-19 March 25th Update

By March 27, 2020 No Comments

Hey ONE* Family,

A lot of things have changed this week, but we want you to know that we are still here for you.

I want to begin with the proclamation that went out from Governor J. Inslee for the state of Washington on Monday.  Because of that proclamation, I know many of you are working through possible layoffs or working from home for the next few weeks.

I know that many of you are facing difficult situations and decisions, but I want you to know that Teresa and I, and our entire team are praying for you.

If you or your company is on the Essential Workforce List, work has probably ramped up for you.  We are also praying for all of you who are serving our community in grocery stores, the medical community, or first responders.

Some of you may be wondering if we will be having our service online this weekend and the answer is YES!  In the proclamation under the other community-based government operations and essential functions, we are included under the designation as artists and musicians providing services through streaming or other technology.

So, this Sunday, you can join the service online at 8:30, 10:00 and 11:30am. If you are unable to join us at those times, you can watch the service on our website onespokane.com/watch.

We know that many of you are feeling the strain of isolation and the pressure to balance working from home while watching the kids.  We’ve noticed during these anxious times that it helps to put words to what’s troubling us…and perhaps to know that a team of people in Spokane are praying for you.

So, if you would like someone to be praying for what’s concerning you, just go to onespokane.com/prayer and let us know how we can pray for you.

Many of you have been asking how you can help people in our community.  We have been talking with some of our local food banks to see how we can help.  We’ll be updating you on that in the next few days.

If you would like to help with a food drive or in any other way, just go to onespokane.com/help and sign up to serve our community.

I’m so proud of our team!  ONE* Students, GroupLife, ONE* Kids, Worship, and our media teams have been knocking it out of the park.

If you want to check out youth, go to onespokane.com/students
For groups, go to onespokane.com/groups.  A lot of our groups are connecting on Zoom.  We’ve been having most of our team meetings and groups on Zoom.  It’s a great way to stay connected.

If you would like to get your kids connected, just go to onespokane.com/kids.

I just want to thank all of you for your generosity.  We had several people who normally give in service start giving online this week.  Your generosity helps us remain strong so we can continue to serve our community.

I want to end with one of my favorite scriptures:

Isaiah 26:3-4
You will keep in perfect peace all who trust in you, all whose thoughts are fixed on you! Trust in the Lord always, for the Lord God is the eternal Rock.

Remember, God is with you and He is for you.  We love you and we will see you online at our regular times 8:30, 10, and 11:30am this Sunday.
