Why the asterisk in the ONE* logo?
The asterisk means to look somewhere else for more information about what ONE means. That place is the Bible. Our hope is that as you read through the Bible and come across the word ONE that you gain greater insight into the significance of the word and its impact on our lives as Christians. Want an example? Check out Ephesians 4:4-6 (NIV):
"There is one body and one Spirit—just as you were called to one hope when you were called— one Lord, one faith, one baptism; one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all."
Do you perform background checks?
Yes! Background checks are completed on all staff and volunteers working directly with children and finances.
Do you perform an audit or review? If so, why?
Yes, we have an outside audit firm come in every other year to perform an audit and review our financial statements and internal controls. On the alternate year, we have a different outside firm come in and perform a financial compilation to review the accuracy of our financial statements to ensure that our internal controls are in place. We believe it is important to have independent firms review ONE*'s financial statements for accountability.
Do you have a budget process?
Yes, we have an annual budget which is reviewed in January of each year.
What is my giving used for?
