A QUICK HISTORY OF ONE

With a heart and a mission to help people find and follow Jesus Christ, we officially launched ONE in Spokane Valley in September of 2006. The name ONE comes from Ephesians 4:4-6:

"There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called to one hope when you were called; one Lord, one faith, one baptism; one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all."

Since that first Sunday as ONE, we have seen hundreds of people receive Jesus Christ, numerous marriages and families strengthened and restored, and many lives transformed through the power of God and the ministries of ONE. Those initial years as ONE was an amazing ride for all of us. God was teaching us to run towards change and embrace it – to think outside the box – because He had more in mind. The people He was calling us to reach would be impossible to reach through one location.

Our second campus, ONE North, launched on September 24, 2017 in Mead, Washington.

After merging with Mt. Spokane Church, we launched ONE North right next to Mt. Spokane High School on September 24, 2017. ONE North is a beautiful campus surrounded by wheat fields, mountains and orchards. Over 600 people attended the first Sunday! ONE North is a vibrant community with young families and people of all stages of life that love to worship Jesus Christ and help people find and follow Him.

A third campus, our Outreach Campus located in Mead, Washington, takes God behind bars and feeds hundreds of hurting people.

On October 22, 2017, we launched our Outreach Campus in the Mead community. Our Outreach Campus partners with Spokane Jail Ministries by providing multiple services, Bible studies and individual counseling for inmates in the County Jail and the Airway Heights Correctional Facility. We are taking God behind bars to hundreds of inmates and see an average of 300 salvations annually.

In addition, we provide over 20,000 meals annually to people who are homeless and hurting through our Outreach Campus. We also partner with the local Union Gospel Mission (UGM) and the Women’s Crisis Shelter of Spokane to offer Celebrate Recovery, Women’s studies, and various other ministries that help bring encouragement, healing, and hope to many.

We launched our fourth campus in 2018 to reach more people for Jesus in an unprecedented way.

We launched an On-line Campus in 2018 to reach people who couldn’t attend an in-person service on Sundays. However, during the uncertainty and attendance restrictions of 2020, it underwent a major overhaul with new leadership, new vision and new equipment to bring it to where it is today. Our On-line Campus streams live every Sunday on Facebook and YouTube. Hundreds of people in the Spokane community and across the nation are connecting to Jesus Christ and to ONE Church through our On-line Campus.

This has all led to where we are today: ONE Church with multiple campuses.

Through multiple campuses, we continue to build a vibrant, active community around our core values of loving God, loving our church, and loving the world. We do this through services that move people, groups that change people, and outreaches that help people. Our goal is to make it easy for people of every age and every walk of life to experience Jesus Christ and grow in their relationship with Him.

We thank the entire family of ONE Church who have prayed, sacrificed, served, invited, and contributed for the sake of helping reach more for Jesus. We are truly one heart, one mind, and united in the purpose God has for us – helping people find and follow Jesus Christ.
